Are the calculators UK-specific? Yes. Every calculator uses HMRC rates, GOV.UK thresholds or figures published in UK legislation. Each calculator lists its source links so you can verify the underlying figures.

Can I rely on the results for my tax return? The calculators are for planning and record-keeping only. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified accountant or from HMRC directly (see gov.uk/self-assessment-tax-returns).

How often are the rates updated? We review each calculator against the source GOV.UK / HMRC page at least once per tax year and after any published rate change. The last-reviewed date is shown on each tool.
